1. Who we are
StartedUp (the “Service”, StartedUp (startedup.io)) is operated by UpCapital Global FZCO, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“StartedUp”, “we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
2. Information only — not advice
StartedUp is a search and information service for UAE business formation, licensing, tax and compliance. We are not a law firm, accounting firm, tax agent, financial adviser, investment adviser, placement agent or arranger, and we do not carry on any regulated financial activity. Nothing on the Service is legal, tax, accounting, financial or investment advice. Always confirm with the relevant regulator or a qualified professional before acting.
3. Accuracy of data
We aggregate figures and rules from official published sources and link each to its source with the date it was recorded. Information may be incomplete, out of date or contain errors, and regulations change. We provide the Service “as is” and make no warranty that any figure, cost, timeline or rule is current or correct. You rely on it at your own risk.
4. Introductions
Where you ask to be introduced to a service provider (a “Partner”), we share the details you provide with that Partner so they can contact you. An introduction is nota recommendation, endorsement, warranty or guarantee of the Partner or any outcome. Any engagement you enter with a Partner is solely between you and the Partner; StartedUp is not a party to it and is not responsible for the Partner’s services, fees or conduct. We may receive a referral fee from the Partner.
5. Generated documents
Any document the Service generates (such as an incorporation pack) is a template for your convenience only. It is not legal advice and may not suit your circumstances. Have it reviewed by a qualified professional before you rely on or file it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, scrape it at scale, submit false information, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend access for any breach.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StartedUp and UpCapital Global FZCO are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or any loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data, arising from your use of the Service, reliance on its information, or any introduction. Our total aggregate liability to you is limited to AED 500. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Privacy
We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the Dubai courts have jurisdiction.
